What is a CNA (certified nursing assistant)?
A CNA is a certified nursing assistant who has successfully completed a Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP), has passed the state examinations and has been placed on the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry.
Where can a CNA work?
A CNA can work in a: Nursing Home, Assisted Living, Hospital or Hospice if they are supervised by a licensed nurse (LPN, RN) and performing nursing or nursing related services.
What is the average pay for a C.N.A in Utah?
The average pay for CNA’s in Utah is $9.00 to $15.00 an hour. This is the average and the pay will depend on your experience as well as the facility.
Is your program state approved?
Yes. Our program is approved by the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry (UNAR). We are also approved by the state of Utah and Consumer protection agency as a post-secondary proprietary school and meet all of the Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) requirements.
Can I bring food to class?
Yes, you may bring you food to class.
Do you offer job placement?
Currently, we do not provide formal job placement but during the course we do discuss all of the different sectors of the economy that employ CNA's. This is usually a huge eye opener for most students as they generally can only think a few locations where CNA's work. We also discuss interviewing techniques, and prepare you to do well on your interview!

Where do I do my clinicals?
Your clinicals are completed at any facilities located all across the Wasatch Front. We will help you set these up during class. The 16 hours you must spend on clinicals are included in the 80 hour program.
What exactly does a CNA do when working?
A CNA performs duties all correlating to the care of individuals who need help in caring for themselves. CNA's assist residents with meals, taking residents on walks, helping residents bathe and get dressed, taking vital signs, changing bed linens, helping residents with personal hygiene, shaving etc.
